Putting the Stroke, Jog and Pedal to the Medal

Success! I completed the Wildflower Sprint-Distance Triathlon (aka "Mountain Bike Course") today.

And I was not in last place. Ta-da.

More to come, along with a picture of the spiffy "Finisher" medal—the only medal I have ever won ... in my entire life—when I am back at the home keyboard.

Thank you, everyone, who has contributed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (or is planning to make a donation between now and May 15). Because I was aware of your support of this tremendous cause—to find a cure for blood cancers—it was so much easier to fight my way through the crowded swim waters, the hilly bike course, and the hot run at the end of the morning.

While we all know that it's not really the medal that counts, I think you all deserve one for your support.
